Northern Reins Play Day!!

Well, Payton's Horse Show was a roaring success! We had a little rain delay, but the day turned out to be a beautiful one. We didn't know what to expect, but lots of people showed up. Many of the kids were boarders or kids that take lessons from Gayle or Tami (she gives lessons at NR, too.) Some of the lesson kids don't have their own horses so Mercedes, Sheriff and Sisco were well used all day! There were thrills and a few spills: Including Payton and Sisco: he just lost his footing and went right over on Payton's foot. Devon just had his tonsils and adnoids out so he couldn't participate, unfortunately. Payton's Dad was the announcer, Chris was the grounds crew, Kari and Tom were timers. We had a few laughs: one little girl lost her boots in the middle of the arena, and a chicken wandered into the arena and would not leave. But I just want to say how proud we all are of Payton. This was her idea and she planned and organized it mostly by herself!!! It was a wonderful day and we hope to do it every year!!!

We are glad your big day turned out so well. Next time we will clear our calendar so we con't have to hurry home. It really was fun...even for the spectators. Love, G and G
